Limited by budget and a tight timeline, Lifeblood needed a game-changing app that could inform, teach and verify staff's knowledge across the whole world.
The first of its kind in the world, this innovative app complements the existing range of resources for everything required to know about blood and transfusion at any stage of a professional's career. We created the iOS, and Android app combined four previous lifeblood apps and brought in a suite of new features and functionality on time and on budget into a single unified application.
The iTransfuse App promotes safe, appropriate, and evidence-based transfusion by providing bedside access to transfusion education tools and resources. It includes information to support the prescription of red cells and platelets, diagnostic information about transfusion reactions, and much more.
The app was developed following extensive consultation with junior medical officers (JMOs) to determine what tools would be best suited to their needs.
